Primitivo is an Italian varietal which is similar to a high quality Zinfandel. The grapes for this wine were grown by cousin, James Nichelini, in his Chiles Valley "Jimmy Nick" vineyard. We originally purchased only 2 tons from his new vineyard to explore the quality of this young grape and found it to be excellent!
